Morning in spheres…

di Lance Henson (*)

Morning in spheres of arriving light opens it huge rooms

Glass rooms where memory has

Lived with us so caring and so long

And those of us who have stood by the rivers

Where hands and eyes first appeared

What will we say as the slivered moon rises over us

As dusk and flies settle on the fallen

The darkness of their breathing following us into the night

The monument of their shadows

Burned into our dreams

may the words we speak be as honest as your innocence

may the mornings you whisper toward be a truer blessing upon this planet

than the fools in their prayer cloths

than the false faces of convention

here is the box of stars i have carried for you

made of the sweetest wood

i could find….

Buona lettura (db)
